The Malawi Library Association (MALA) successfully conducted a two-day Grants Writing Workshop from 4–5 March 2026 at the Kamuzu University of Health Sciences in Lilongwe. The workshop brought together librarians, researchers, and development practitioners to strengthen their grant proposal development skills.
Mr Felix Chisoni and Dr Evelyn Chilemba facilitated the training. During the workshop, participants gained practical skills in identifying funding opportunities, aligning project ideas with donor priorities and developing clear and competitive grant proposals.
Participants described the workshop as insightful and practical, providing tools that will help them improve their chances of securing funding for projects in research, education and community development.
MALA expressed appreciation to all participants and looks forward to organising more capacity-building initiatives in the future.
